I live with my husband John in the Silicon Valley right outside of San Jose. I've been married since July of 2000 and we just had our first baby, a boy, on August 4th, 2001. You can read more about Patrick here.
I have a nine-year-old brother named Brett, pretty good kid, doesn't bother me much really, he's a sixth grader with some brains, that's for sure. He'll make a wonderful geek someday, mark my words.
I was born in San Jose, CA, so most of my family still resides there. I do see them on occasion, Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays and summer parties, but not as often as I'd like. I won't even start to name off that side of the family. Maybe if I get really bored one day I'll do my family tree and post it here, but for now, it'll have to wait. I come from a large Irish Catholic family on one side and an even larger Mexican/Spanish Catholic family on the other. Enough said.
I'll get my family history up here sometime too. My family comes from Co. Kerry, Ireland on one side, here since the turn of the century, the Mexican/Spanish line is an odd one though. Apparently I come from a long line of Spanish Conquistadors living here in New Mexico since the 16th century. I don't know whether I should be proud or embarassed of my noble Spanish ancestors, but it certainly makes for a good story.
